For this weeks post, I know a lot of people that I have spoken with appear to be in fear of a lot of things recently. Several things come to my mind, but the first in terms of taking accountability is to meditate on Psalms 2: These verses specifically come to my mind.Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
I know we are living in times where things can be confusing, but the second scripture that comes to me in terms of being accountable and keeping calm is the following: Joshua 1:8 states the following: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” When we give our time first thing in the morning and night to the Lord, we will find that we will have sufficient time and an abundant amount of energy to give to the things that need tended too in our lives and the people we love. When we stop putting our relationship with God first, and getting out of the Word, which the enemy loves to stop, then we start to notice things go off course. Practice this for accountability and the trying times we are in.
Finally, I am not sure where I found this prayer, but I feel like all of us need to be sinking into this prayer daily, to be aware of the spiritual climates we are in and to be asking for spiritual discernment daily.
Spiritual Warfare Prayer for Putting on Spiritual Armor:
Father God, I ask you to help me put on the spiritual armor that will protect me from harm and help me stand before the enemy.
Help me to tie the belt of truth around my waist, and protect my heart with the breastplate of righteousness.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Let me place upon my feet the preparation of the gospel of peace, so that I can share the good news with others. And help me hold in my hands the shield of faith, that can put out the flaming darts of the wicked one. Protect my mind from ungodly thoughts with the helmet of salvation. Arm me with the sword of the Spirit, which is the living word of God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
Heavenly Father, I come before you asking that you set forth your divine order in my being. I fully surrender and submit to your Lordship and the work of the Holy Spirit within me. Right now, I command my soul, my mind, my will and my emotions to submit to the spirit of God inside of me in Jesus name. I give full authority to the Holy spirit to rule and reign in my being and command it to rise! I will be led by my spirit and not my soul in all circumstances. God, I come into order and alignment with your will, your Word and your purposes for my life in Jesus name.
