Accountability: When Others Help Us On Our Journey:

As I reflect on the past several months, I am grateful to my friend LaRette for the work that she has been doing on my heart. She is a woman of God and the Holy Spirit has really used her to work on some things that have needed healing.

In my Accountability Journal, I ask the question, “What scares you most about doing emotional work on yourself and taking accountability for the wounds and traumas that have been inflicted upon you from others?” This is question 8 to be specific. I think about all of the Light and Joy that my friend LaRette brings to the table daily as she serves as a teacher to the children she teaches and how some of the tough circumstances that she has gone through in her life has not made her enter into bitterness through her circumstances on the trauma she has gone through. Jesus works through her daily and she radiates Christ’s presence. She is not perfect, yet is humble. Yet, she is willing to take accountability and learn from her mistakes and grow. As she has shared her wisdom, I have noticed my heart change and my relationship with Christ deepen. I have started to learn what patience looks like more on a daily basis. How we are to be ambassadors for Christ on this Earth.

I have seen myself and have known, that I have still had bitterness that has needed to be purged from heart, and I have seen that light start to grow more and more within due to what LaRette has shown me, as well as things I have shown her. This is why Question 8 in the journal is so important. I know that healing can be a process and will take time. I have also realized that sometimes the enemy does not want us to uncover the roots of the issue and likes to keep us stuck so we do not become truly free.

When working with this question, I would add in your personal journal and prayer time with the Holy Spirit to have all of the core roots of the problem pulled. I would ask for this on a spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical level. Lets go for all roots and be free.

For this week, Let us focus on Matthew 5:13-16 for our Bible verse to renew our minds on: “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt loses it’s flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Or do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify you Father in Heaven.”

To me, we are in the end times. LaRette knows my history of what I have been through in the new age and occult. I don’t speak about a lot of these things to many. I can only a lot of what I saw, I see coming true. LaRette and I have talks about what is going on in the world, and to me, it’s a perfectly designed circus, yet, as the Body of Christ, we are here to stand up to this nonsense, and because the Body has failed, we are where we are. However, LaRette brings up a good point in that some people have their own callings for God, and that others feel convicted to speak up for certain things, where as one may not and feel called to speak up and advocate on another level. These are both valid points. In terms of accountability and doing our emotional work I will challenge all of you to do the following. Pray to the Holy Spirit of how you are to shine and glorify God’s Kingdom in these end times, and if there is truth that you need to speak up for, to ask where you are to stand in as an Ambassador for Christ during these times. We allow those in power to continue to abuse us when we don’t say know. We, as the Body of Christ, are the gatekeepers on Earth right now, and we must do everything we can to be in the Word, pray, and to live from our Spirit, not our soul or emotions. Be the Salt of the Earth and Let Your Light Shine before Men during these End Times. That’s all I have to say for myself this week. Blessings to you and thanks for everything LaRette!
