In Honor of Oasis Reunion Tour!

I don’t listen to much secular music anymore, but back in the day, I was an Oasis fan. When Noel Gallagher wrote the song Live Forever, his intentions were for the song were to put things in a more positive light, even if people were going through tough times instead of the depressing, grunge theme’s of the time.

As I reflect of the continued pruning season that I am going through and the upcoming release of Accountability 101, I am reminded that we all need to be willing to see the beauty in the seasons of gray, and when people are willing to take accountability for their sins/mistakes and are willing to course correct, those are the people we should be surrounding ourselves with and rally around. No human being is perfect, yet, the question should always be, are we willing to be the light and turn ourselves in when we make mistakes? Can we be humble enough to look at ourselves and our Darth Vader sides when we are in fear, and stop, seek guidance from the Holy Spirit and others so we stop the cycle of rejecting ourselves and others.

This is what I am excited about learning daily and those who are serious in their journey with Christ. I am learning that Jesus was right, the narrow way, very few chose. It can feel lonely and even, depressing at times. However, we must press on and shine that light on the darkness with the Holy Spirit.

Hopefully, on the Oasis reunion tour, Noel and Liam find some of the healing that they need in a true, humbling way that is not staged or insincere.

Enjoy the journey with the song Live Forever!
